The Coerver Mighty Mite program is an exclusive, annual training program designed to give young players (ages 5-7) the best possible start in soccer. With a limited enrollment of just 18 players, we provide a focused and supportive environment where every child receives personalized attention.

Our program is structured across three seasons—Fall, Winter, and Spring—and is built on the world-renowned Coerver® Coaching method, the global leader in soccer skills teaching.

Player Benefits: Building a Complete Athlete

The Mighty Mite program is about more than just kicking a ball. It’s a comprehensive approach to a child’s development, both on and off the field.

  • Health and Physical Benefits: Soccer is a fantastic way for young children to stay active, build cardiovascular health, and improve overall physical fitness. Our sessions are designed to be fun and dynamic, keeping kids engaged while they exercise.

  • Essential Motor Skills: Through a variety of drills and games, players will develop fundamental motor skills like balance, agility, and coordination. This not only makes them better soccer players but also helps with a wide range of athletic activities.

  • Confidence and Creativity: Our curriculum focuses on individual skill development, which builds a player’s confidence on the ball. As they master a skill, they are encouraged to use it creatively in different situations, fostering a sense of independence and “game smarts.”

The Coerver Structured Approach: Why it Works

Our unique, progressive curriculum is what sets the Mighty Mite program apart. Each training session is designed to build on the last, following a clear progression:

  1. Individual Player Focus: We start with the foundation of the Coerver method: “Ball Mastery.” Players will get hundreds of touches on the ball, learning to control it with both feet and with confidence. This repetition is key to developing muscle memory and technical proficiency.

  2. Working with a Teammate: Once players are comfortable with the ball on their own, we introduce partner drills. This teaches them the fundamentals of passing, receiving, and working together.

  3. Small-Sided Games: The session culminates in fun, small-sided games. This is where players get to apply the skills they’ve learned in a game-like situation, without the pressure of a full-field match.

Throughout each season, we will host one or two “Coerver Game Days” where players can showcase their skills in a series of 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 competitions. This format ensures every player is constantly involved, getting maximum touches on the ball and developing their skills under a little bit of pressure.

By limiting our program to just 18 players and following a proven, step-by-step curriculum, we can ensure every child receives the attention they need to grow into a skilled, confident, and creative player.
